Addis Ababa, February 21, 2024 (Addis Walta) Ethiopian Tourism Minister, Ambassador Nassisie Chalie, conferred with Jordan Tourism Minister, Makram Mustafa Queisi.
In their discussion, the two ministers exchanged ideas on which the countries can strengthen their cooperation in the tourism sector and exchange experiences.
The two ministers agreed to cooperate on tourism investment, promotion, heritage conservation and medical tourism.
During his stay in Ethiopia, the minister will hold discussions on religious tourism and health tourism with officials of various institutions and stakeholders, according to Ethiopian Tourism Minister.
The tourism sector is the main contributor of the economy of Jordan, covering 15.6 per cent of the total GDP of the country.
