Addis Ababa, March 6, 2024(Addis Walta) The State Minister of Finance, Semereta Sewasew, attended the 56th session of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Conference of African Ministers of Finance.
The session was conducted under the theme “Financing the transition to inclusive green economies in Africa: imperatives, opportunities, and policy options” in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, on March 4-5/2024.
The Conference is one of the premier forums on the continent for dialogue and exchange of views among African Finance Ministers on issues pertinent to the development agenda of the continent.
The Ministers, after discussing global financial architecture reforms, continental free trade area (CFTA), and green trade, adopted a resolution drafted and agreed by the experts committee.
On the side of the conference, Semereta Sewasew attended the meeting of the Committee of Fifteen Ministers of Finance (F-15) of which Ethiopia is a member of the committee.
The ministers agreed to the 57th session of the Conference of Ministers to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in March 2025.
