Addis Ababa, October 20, 2023 (Addis Ababa) HBM Group, a pharmaceutical company, has announced its decision to build a syringes factory at Kilinto Industrial Park on the outskirts of Addis Ababa.
Industrial Park Development Corporation (IPDC) CEO, Aklilu Tadesse, and the HBM Group owner discussed the matter earlier today.
The CEO underscored the investment could have a significant contribution to Ethiopia’s effort to substitute the imported medical equipment as well as facilitate technology and knowledge transfer.
The HBM Group stated that it plans to build a state-of-the-art syringe factory at Kilinto Industrial Park, the first in Africa, which can produce more than 1 million syringes per day and over 300 million a year.
