Addis Ababa, November 5, 2024 (Addis Walta) Ethiopian Airlines received the first African A350-1000 Airbus.
Ethiopian Airlines Group board chairman and Ethiopian Air Force head, Lieutenant General Yilma Merdassa, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfine Tassew, French Ambassador to Ethiopia and other higher management officials of the airlines attended the arrival of the ultra-modern passenger plane.
Named “Land of Origins,” as Ethiopian tourism motto, this modern aircraft is equipped with latest technology.
The African Aviation giant aspires to transport 67 million passengers and earn USD 25 billion income by 2035.
The airlines owns 147 aircrafts and flies to 139 international and 22 domestic destinations, per Ethiopian News Agency.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D.) in his explanation to members of the house of people’s representative announced that Ethiopian Airlines ordered to buy 124 aircrafts.
