Mogadishu, SONNA – The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Daud Aweis Jama, recently concluded a high-level workshop in Mogadishu. The workshop aimed to enhance the efficiency and cooperation of the ministry’s departments. Attendees included directors, advisers, and senior officials who shared experiences to overcome work challenges and improve inter-departmental relationships.
Minister Jama emphasized the workshop’s role in expediting the ministry’s tasks and preparing for the National Transformation Plan. This event followed a previous workshop held from the 13th to the 15th of the month, which targeted department heads to refine the editing process and lead working groups effectively.
Abdinasir Hussein Hassan, acting Director General and Director of Administration and Finance, encouraged participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge to upcoming government programs, thereby enhancing Somalia’s performance. The acting Director General also expressed gratitude to the African Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) for facilitating today’s workshop.
Ambassador Yusuf Garad Omar, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, shared his expertise in government building and media during the workshop. Minister Jama highlighted the unique approach of this workshop, allowing ministry leaders to discuss challenges and share ideas outside their usual work environment.
This initiative is part of the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism’s broader plan to improve management quality and operational efficiency.
