MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh met the emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad in Doha to discuss bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest, his press office said on Sunday.
Villa Somalia said in a statement that President Mohamud urged the Qatari leader to increase support in developmental projects Doha has been undertaking in the war-torn country over the past years.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the UN Conference on Least Developed Countries held in Doha following months-long hiatus in diplomatic relations after Mogadishu reset ties with the United Arab Emirates.
