Mogadishu, SONNA – The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in collaboration with international partners, successfully executed a series of operations in the Yaaqle area of the Middle Shabelle region and the Garile area of the Galgaduud region. These operations resulted in the elimination of approximately 40 Khawarij militants and left 29 others injured.
Among those killed was a senior leader of the Khawarij, Macalin Aarow, who was identified as one of the key conspirators. The operation in the Galgaduud region spanned over 24 hours, showcasing the determination and resilience of the NISA forces.
In the Middle Shabelle region, NISA intelligence forces, along with their international allies, thwarted an attempt by the militias to regroup. The militias were completely neutralized, and an army base they were using was destroyed.
