MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Heavy fighting between two pro-government clan militias in erupted in the town of Qoryoley in south Somalia’s Lower Shabelle town on Thursday following days of simmering tensions, Universal TV reported.
The gun battle came days after two factions within government forces clashed in the nearby coastal town of Barawe this week.
Casualties have not been immediately known. Authorities have not yet commented on the clashes.
