MOGADISHU, SOMALIA – In a vibrant ceremony held at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Ambassador Ahmed Maallim Fiqi was honored for his past contributions as the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation and welcomed into his new role as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The event was marked by the presence of SoDMA’s senior management, including the Chairman Mr. Mohamud Maallim Abdulle and Deputy Chairman Dr. Ahmed Abdi Adan. They expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Fiqi for his exemplary cooperation and leadership that significantly contributed to the ministry’s successes during his tenure.
As part of the transition, Ambassador Fiqi and Chairman Abdulle conducted a joint inspection of the NEOC’s various departments. The ceremony also included a presentation of the agency’s activities since its inception, highlighting the collaborative efforts and support provided by Ambassador Fiqi.
