Addis Ababa, April 4, 2024(Addis Walta) The Ethiopian delegation, headed by Minister of Agriculture Girma Amente, is currently undertaking a working visit to Brazil, as announced by the Ministry of Agriculture today.
The Ministry indicated that the primary objective of the delegation’s visit to the South American nation is to acquire insights into the agricultural practices and initiatives implemented in Brazil.
Furthermore, the Ethiopian representatives have actively observed the methodologies employed in overcoming production and productivity challenges within the Brazilian agricultural sector, leading to notable advancements in production through the utilization of diverse technological solutions.
The Ethiopian delegation learned that the Brazilian government has not only succeeded in guaranteeing food security for its people but has also managed to effect substantial economic transformations in agricultural goods exportation.
Throughout his sojourn in Brazil, Agriculture Minister Girma Amente discussed with his Brazilian counterpart regarding collaborative opportunities within the agricultural domain. In their deliberations, both ministers reached a mutual understanding affirming the feasibility of fostering cooperation within the agricultural sector.
Brazil and Ethiopia are nations with both contemporary and longstanding ties, sharing membership in prominent international organizations such as the Group of 77, BRICS+, and the United Nations.
