MOGADISHU, Somalia – The 16th meeting of the Standing Committee of the House was presided over by Speaker of the House Sheikh Adan Mohamed Noor (Madobe) on Tuesday in Mogadishu, according to his office.
The speaker’s briefing on the current work and the resolution to fill open seats in the parliament made up the meeting’s agenda.
Madobe and other legislators talked about a variety of topics, including the state of the nation overall and the laws that are still pending approval.
In an effort to draw the attention of the Somali people, the Committee members also discussed and ultimately passed the motion to fill the open seats in the People’s Assembly.
