Hudur, SONNA – The Somali Armed Forces, particularly the 9th Battalion of the 60th Division, have conducted a successful operation in areas under Hudur City, the capital of Bakool region, and liberated several villages that have been under the grip of terrorism for many years.
The operation targeted areas such as Abagbeday, Dudumale, Bulo-Kojoor, Eelgaras and others, where the militants had been hiding and terrorizing the local population.
The commander of the 9th Brigade of the 60th Division of the country’s armed forces led the operation and told the Somali National News Agency (SONNA) that the army had cleared the areas of any threat and restored peace and security.
He said that the operation was part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism from the country and protect the people.
He also said that a security clearance was underway in those villages to ensure that no remnants of the terrorists were left behind.
