MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – The special representative of the United Nations for Somalia Catriona Laing urged the immediate return of Puntland leadership to the National Consultative Council as dispute between federal government and regional authorities continues to drag on.
It came after the leader of the northeastern Somali federal member state Saeed Abdullahi Deni refused to attend the meeting, which brings together federal and regional presidents.
