Responsibilities:
Under the overall direction of Chief of Section and the direct supervision of the Supervisors, the clerks will be assigned to perform the following tasks:
Warehouse & Inventory
- Undertake a physical count of all stock items based on inventory list approved and provided by the Warehouse supervisor;
- Segregate obsolete or damaged items for disposal;
- Identify lost items;
- Rearrange the usable stock items;
- Daily, report to the Supervisor for entering data;
- Perform any other activity as directed by the Supervisor of the Warehouse.
Property, Plant & Equipment (PP&E)
1. Using the assigned verification sheet provided by PP&E supervisor to physically verify the existence, status and location of the capitalised and non-capitalised properties; 2. Compile the completed verified assets on spread sheet.
- Submit the completed equipment data sheets to the Supervisor to review and update on
PP&E mass upload template;
- Report and replace any missing tracking stickers (asset and serialised numbers),
- Report on any discrepancies between the properties in the data and physically verified;6. Segregate obsolete and unfound properties and submit report to the supervisor for appropriate decision;
7. Perform any other activity as directed by the supervisor of PP&E
Disposal & Disposal/Reuse Warehouse
- Carry out a physical inspection of the item(s) to be disposed
- Arrange item to be disposed in identical categories and group
- Arrange items in the disposal/reuse stores – a total of six disposal/reuse stores are available
- Arrange items to be disposed by LOT for bid and to public competitive sale
- Take items to be returned to disposal/Reuse store
- Show the arranged LOT to the bidders
- Assist items to be disposed out from the compound
- Items to be issued from the reuse store to be delivered to the assign staff on time
- Assist in write – off items from the data base

Expected Duration
4 Months
- To support the Property Management Unit, Inventory and Warehouse management to physically count the stock items available in the storerooms,
- To verify the existence and the status of the capitalised and non-capitalised properties.- To support the disposal and disposal Warehouse team and to update data during write-off and disposal exercise.
High school diploma, Microsoft applications i.e. excel application and data management is required. Additional IT education, strong data entry and data management experience is an Asset.
At least four years of experience in Supply Management and Logistics area.
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Excellent English writing ability is a must. Knowledge of French or another official United Nations language is an advantage.
