Unisa offers PhD and master’s degree programmes in: Business, Economics, Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, Health Sciences, Law, Science, Technology, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, and many other disciplines.

Documents needed for admission application (some programs may require additional documents) *
For a doctoral degree:
- Master’s and bachelor’s degree certificates and academic records
- Outline of proposed doctoral research (3-5 pages)
- Passport or birth certificate
- CV
- SAQA Certificate of Evaluation or proof of SAQA application
For a master’s degree: - Bachelor’s/Honors degree certificates and academic records
- For a master’s degree that involves research only, an outline of the proposed master’s research
- Passport or birth certificate
- SAQA Certificate of Evaluation or proof of SAQA application
*Applicants for programmes in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences need to complete a departmental questionnaire.
*Applicants for programmes in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology need to first contact professors in the college and get a confirmation letter that should be uploaded together with other documents at the time of online application.
*Applicants are advised to apply while waiting for the SQAQ certificate of evaluation
