MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somaliland deployed hundreds of fresh troops to the towns of Oog and Aynabo amid an ongoing mobilization for a new showdown with SSC forces, weeks after authorities of the breakaway region lost control of several strategic towns.
Images circulated on social media showed dozens of military vehicles heading to the frontline areas amid fear of renewed clashes. Prominent regional politicians reached the area to boost the morale of soldiers and vowed that authorities would to retake towns lost to SSC forces.
