MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – A court in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Monday summoned 7 officials accused of theft of public funds, months after the Horn of Africa country’s government announced crackdown on corruption.
Banadir regional court, in a letter shared online, ordered the accused officials with the Ministry of Finance, the office of the National Auditor General and the Immigration Agency to appear before it within 7 days.
It comes amid an ongoing trial of several other officials accused of stealing government funds.
