Addis Ababa, August 23, 2023 (Addis Walta) Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the United Nations Country Team in a joint statement reiterated their commitment to speed up their joint efforts for the immediate resumption of humanitarian aid to vulnerable communities in the country.
After having a constructive and productive deliberation with the United Nations Country Team, including the incoming UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Ramiz Alakbarov (Ph.D.), and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Country Representative, Michael Saad, Ethiopian Government has issued a joint statement indicating that the two sides determined to deepen their partnership and committed to continue working for inclusive and sustainable development in Ethiopia, according to MFA of Ethiopia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, the two will continue to strengthen their joint efforts so that humanitarian aid to communities in difficult situations in Ethiopia can be restarted as soon as possible.
