MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s Minister of Defense Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur and US ambassador Larry Andre on Thursday signed a new defense agreement on increasing the training and equipment of Somali army.
Nur said the US will continue training and equipping Danab Somali special forces to ensure that the Somali army stands on its feet before the exit of foreign troops from the country. He did not give further details about the terms of the deal.
