MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Ethiopia’s new ambassador to Somalia Mukhtar Mohamed Ware arrived in the capital Mogadishu on Sunday and presented his credentials to the Somali minister of foreign affairs Abshir Omar Jama.
It came weeks after Ethiopia, Kenya, Djibouti and Somalia agreed to strengthen cooperation on the fight against Islamist militants and launch a joint offensive against the Al-Qaeda-aligned rebels.
Ethiopia and Somali government’s relations have been strained since new President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud returned to office last year.
