Addis Ababa, March 7, 2023 (Walta) – Ethiopia has benefited in many fields from the “Bright Future in Agriculture” project that has been implemented for the past four years.
Ministry of foreign affairs of Netherlands funded project, Bright Future in Agriculture (BFA), was a four years project (2019-2023) that supported the Ethiopian Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
Dr. Huub Muddle, BFA project director, pointed out that the project created employment opportunities for the youth and improved business and value chains in the horticultural and dairy sub-sectors.
The project has been successfully implemented to enhance employability and food security in Ethiopia through quality Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training, he stated.
The director also added that his country, Netherland will continue to strengthen similar cooperation projects with Ethiopia.
It is said that, in eight thematic areas, including horticulture, dairy, water management, entrepreneurship and business plan, 37 training workshops provided to 808 trainees.
The training included entrepreneurs, teachers, students, farmers and trainees working in various professions.
