Daallo Airlines, a Somali-owned airline, has hired ACC Aviation to source and deliver Boeing 737-800 and De Havilland DHC8-300 aircraft to expand its fleet and current route network.
ACC Aviation will provide Daallo Airlines with a desktop technical evaluation of the aircraft and will guide the airline through the commercial stage of the aircraft acquisition process, ensuring that the terms are fair to all parties involved and meet industry standards.
Tristan Brouard, senior manager of asset management at ACC Aviation, expressed his excitement and confidence in the project in a statement.
“We look forward to working with Daallo Airlines, and in the coming days, we will be reaching out to our industry network to help Daallo Airlines get the required aircraft for their expanding fleet,” Brouard stated.
Although Daallo Airlines is Somali-owned, it’s based in Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) Al Garhoud, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Its main hub is Djibouti’s Ambouli International Airport. The airline operates cargo and charter flights throughout Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, with the majority of its passengers hailing from East Africa and the Middle East. It is Djibouti’s national carrier and even has a VIP terminal for prime ministers and presidents.
ACC Aviation, on the other hand, has over two decades of experience in charter and leasing, aviation finance, consulting, asset management, and technical services. It has a network that extends across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, and Asia.
ACC’s accomplishments include completing the repossession transition and placing a B737-800 on a long-term operating lease to Safair on behalf of a South African financier; remarketing a B737-300 to a private investor on behalf of a secured lender that was exposed to the bankrupt airline, Tayaran Jet; and completing a valuation assignment covering a portfolio of 55 aircraft on behalf of an aircraft lessor, among others.
