The most recent casualty of this abhorrent campaign is Mr. Biresaw Minale, a distinguished businessman and a cornerstone of his community, who was tragically shot in front of his residence. His murder exhibits the characteristics of government-affiliated assassination squads, whose patterns of executing high-profile individuals are well established. As with numerous other killings of prominent Amharas, it is unlikely that anyone will be held responsible for this brutal act.
